I am so bad about
getting stuff posted on the web, but I am going to do it, really I am. I am going to get this embroidery stuff
on the web. If there is something that you are particularly interested in that
you have seen at a show, let me know and I will put it on the priority
list. If there is something you
haven’t seen, but think I should, then by all means tell me and perhaps I
will add it to the line.
Remember that all of
this is MY DIGITIZING and my production. If you want something special, I will
be happy to do it for you. If you
like one of these designs, but want it a bit different, I can do that.
With more than forty
years as a hand embroiderer, I found that I had a talent for telling machines
how to make embroidery that adapted to the sensibilities of the historic
costumer. This in no way is
intended to replace the hours of loving work that goes into a hand made piece.
We just don’t all have the time and focus to dedicate to the art. Please contact me if you are doing a
project that could be enhanced with an embroidered motif.
Had I the
heavens embroidered cloths
The blue and
the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and
light and the half light
I would spread them
beneath your feet…
William
Patches and Basic Designs
These are the basic
designs. They are scans of actual
pieces. Not so high quality photos, but I would rather put my time into making
quality files than polishing my web site.
Your choice of
colors and background are infinite. (Except where the color is dictated by the
artwork. A pink Greenman just
doesn’t work for me. )
Feel free to compile
a bunch of them in the draw program of your liking to create a unique piece for
me to make for you.

Machine Embroidery Files
If you are lucky
enough to have one of those horribly expensive, but really fun little machines that
do machine embroidery, my files are for sale. I know they sold you the
“you can digitize anything” program, but if you have worked with it
you will have figured out that doing a file well takes a lot of time and
practice. (I can change my oil too, but find it worth it to pay the guy with
the rack and tools out to do it.)
I have just started
putting together disks with 5 different patterns in 3 different sizes. This project is not done enough to post
it on the web, but if you email me with the pattern you want, I will get that
set done next.
